USD BASKETBALL PERFORMANCE CENTER RENTAL INQUIRY FORM

YEAR OPENED: 2025

SPORTS: MEN'S AND WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (PRACTICES ONLY)

Located in the heart of campus, USD's new Basketball Performance Center is a transformational home for USD men's and women's basketball. Officially opened in April 2025, the approximately 28,000-square-foot, $35 million facility gives Torero hoops a centralized training, recovery and competitive preparation environment — a campus anchor where practice, film study, strength work and team life come together under one roof.

Purpose-driven spaces inside the center include full-sized practice courts, modern locker rooms, athletic-training and sports-medicine areas, a custom strength and conditioning zone, video study rooms and player lounges, as well as state of the art coaches offices for both teams — all designed to accelerate player development and foster team cohesion.

Coaches and staff have called the facility a game-changer for recruiting and day-to-day program development, and its amenities mirror USD's broader commitment to student-athlete success on and off the court.

The facility made an immediate impact beyond the Torero program when it hosted USD's inaugural Coaches Clinic in August 2025. The sold-out event brought together an unprecedented gathering of basketball coaching legends, headlined by New York Knicks head coach and USD alumnus Mike Brown.
