SAN DIEGO — University of San Diego women's basketball has announced its 2026-27 non-conference schedule, a 14-game slate that opens Nov. 2 at New Mexico State and brings eight opponents to the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
The season is the second at the helm for head coach Blanche Alverson, the fourth head coach in program history.
San Diego's opening week will include a marquee non-conference clash. On Saturday, Nov. 7, the Toreros will meet crosstown foe UC San Diego at Pechanga Arena in the inaugural National University Bill Walton Classic, a doubleheader created by Sports San Diego and the Bill Walton Foundation in tribute to the late La Mesa native and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee. The Toreros and Tritons will open the evening ahead of a men's matchup between San Diego State and Colorado. Game times will be announced at a later date.
USD's home slate begins Tuesday, Nov. 10, when Portland State visits Alcalá Park for a 6 p.m. tip at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. CSUN follows on Nov. 14 at 2 p.m., and UC Irvine closes the November home schedule on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.
In between, the Toreros hit the road for a three-game stretch that carries them through Thanksgiving, opening Nov. 17 at Arizona State before a Utah swing at Utah Tech on Nov. 25 and Southern Utah on Nov. 28.
December brings four more games to the JCP. Fresno State visits Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. and Grambling State follows Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. before San Diego hosts a multi-team event on Dec. 12-13, facing Oral Roberts at 11 a.m. on Dec. 12 and Washington State at 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 13. Troy, Colorado State and Arizona State round out the field. The Toreros close non-conference play with a trip to Utah State on Dec. 19 and a 1 p.m. home date against San Jose State on Dec. 21.
San Diego's 2026-2027 West Coast Conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
