Hallie and Jayden Rhodes: A Bond Beyond Basketball

Basketball and service is nothing new for Hallie and Jayden Rhodes. The twin sisters have had these values instilled in them from an early age as the family worked to help those in need every step of the way.

While basketball has bonded the two and brought them to Texas and Kentucky before arriving in San Diego, the growth they've experienced helped shape the duo as they're in the midst of their final collegiate season.

College can provide challenges for many young people, but having someone you can relate to who has been there your entire life can make the transition and experience even more enjoyable.

I love being a twin. It's really comforting having someone that has been through every phase of life with you. We just have an understanding that no one else has.

Growing up in a family that devoted their time and attention to service had an immediate impact on the sisters.

Jayden and Hallie's mother Katina works in the school system back in Texas where she helped instill the importance of education and giving back to their community.

Their father, Keith serves as the Northwest Division Vice President working to provide aid for communities in need. While many aid groups leave in the immediate aftermath of a disaster, Keith works to ensure that people in need are taken care of after the national attention passes.

When they're able to get some time away from the court, the Rhodes twins enjoy trying many of the great food spots in San Diego and enjoy getting outdoors which they inherited from their Dad's upbringing in Alaska.

Beyond their combined love for the outdoors, both Hallie and Jayden attribute their passion for the sport to their Dad who helped train the pair and attends as many games as possible during the season.

It's very comforting having someone that's just always there for you supporting you through everything and just wants to keep that relationship and bond even though we live so far away.

It's really nice to have him there just sitting front row and cheering us on.
