HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Dixon High School... A class boat seating for 4 years in the 8+, 4+, 4-, and 2-...fifth place finish at US Rowing Youth Nationals in men's pair (7/2011)...selected for US Rowing Junior National Development Team (active during summer) in 2011 & 2012...competed at club nationals for US Rowing...selected as 2013 US Rowing Scholastic Honor Roll Honorable Mention (10/2013)...sixth placed finish at US Rowing Youth Nationals in the Men's Double (6/2014)...rowed for the River City Rowing Club.
PERSONAL: Spencer James Currey was born on January 12, 1996...he is the son of John and Tacy Currey...was also recruited by the US Naval Academy, UC San Diego, Oregon State and Washington...will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering...relatives Mike Henry and Connor Wilson played football at Sacramento State.
