2004-05: One of the most accomplished runners in USD school history, begins her third season running for the Toreros... Has been named 2004-05 team captain by second-year USD head coach Will Guarino... Holds a 3.74 cumme GPA at USD... Majoring in Diversified Liberal Arts; working towards a multi-subject credential.
2003-04: Won five outright championships as a sophomore, including becoming the first USD student athlete to win a West Coast Conference individual championship... Posted the fastest 5K time (17:52) in USD history @ UC Riverside (9/20/03)... Clocked in at (18:04) to win the WCC Championships (11/1/03) at the 5K Crystal Springs course in Belmont, California... Her time of (18:04) was more than 11 seconds faster than any other WCC runner... Marley[apos]s individual efforts contributed to San Diego[apos]s (98:15) time as a team, the second best WCC Championship performance by a USD squad in school history... Marley[apos]s excellent season also included 5K individual titles at the Santa Clara Invitational (10/18/03; 17:54)... @ Pepperdine (10/4/03; 18:33)... USD Invitational (9/6/03; 19:18)... 2002-03: Transferred to USD to focus on an major in Education.. Made an immediate impact during her first season as a Torero, placing second overall at the USD Invitational (9/7/02; 19:40)... One week later she turned in a runner-up time at the San Diego State Aztec Invitational (9/14/02; 19:22)... Clocked in with a USD team-best time at the 4K Stanford Invitational (9/28/02; 15:31)... Key contributor to a San Diego team that defeated Pepperdine (10/06/02) in dual meet competition and won the open division of the Aztec Invitational (9/14/02)... Marley and the Toreros placed third as a team at the 2002 West Coast Conference Championships.
@ The University of Texas in 2001-02: Attended The University of Texas on a Marine Corps ROTC Scholarship... Did not run track or cross-country at UT, instead training on her own for the entire school year... Won the ROTC `Iron-man[apos] competition consisting of all men and women[apos]s military ROTC and active duty personnel across the southwestern United States.
Prep: Attended Paraclete High School in Lancaster, California... Was a four-year letter-winner in track & field... Began to run cross-country as a prep sophomore... Named team captain for both the track & field team and cross-country team for three prep seasons... Competed in the CIF Regionals in each of her four years with track and three years for cross country... During the summers as a prep she trained with the Antelope Valley JC running programs... Graduated as class valedictorian in the spring of 2001... Graduated with honors as a member of the National Honors Society and the Spanish Honors Society.
