HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball at Los Gatos High School...was a two-team first-team All-De Anza league Performer...as a senior, he hit .433, and posted a 3.07 ERA en route to a first-team All-De Anza League section, and a second-team All-CCS selection...as a senior, he also led the league in RBI, and set the school record for doubles...as a junior, he hit .375 and had a 2.27 ERA...as a sophomore, he hit .388, while posting a 2.77 ERA en route to a first-team All-De Anza League selection...as a freshman, he hit .350, while posting a 3.20 ERA. PERSONAL: Joseph Bergandi was born on Sept. 23, 1994 in Chicago, Ill... he is the son of Frank and Terri Bergandi...was also recruited by Stanford, Santa Clara and Pepperdine...chose to attend USD because of the beautiful campus, the outstanding baseball program and the academic reputation of the university...his twin brother Joey is also on the USD baseball team.
