Sophomore (2014): Competed in six of USD[apos]s seven races during the fall... Ran a personal best time of 25:35.9 at the Bronco Invite... Also raced in the Mark Covert Invite (27:07.6), the UC Riverside Invite (27:38.3), the Paul Short Invite (26:16), and the WCC Championships (26:11)... Finished the 10k in 34:44 at the NCAA West Regionals. Freshman (2013): Clocked a personal record 8k time of 25:43 at the Bronco Invite... Ran a 28:16 at the WCC Championships (72nd place overall)... Also competed in the West Coast Invite (26:33) and Stanford Invite (27:32). High School: Earned four varsity letters in cross country... Named to the all-district team and all-academic district team on two occasions... Ran for Wings of America, a national team for the top elite Native American HS distance runners... Ran a 9:58 3200m his senior year and a 16:08 5k at altitude... As a junior, clocked a 27:38 8k at the 2012 USA Cross Country Championships... His team was the state runner-up in cross country his senior year... Team won the State track championship as a junior... Team took 3rd at the prestigious Liberty Bell Invitational (cross country)... Finished in 9th place in the 3200m at the 4A State Track Championships... Earned four varsity letters in track as well. Personal: Born Mar. 12, 1995 in Albuquerque, NM... Chose USD because of 'the vibrant city of San Diego, the beautiful campus, the nationally-ranked undergraduate business program, and the strong Div. I athletic program'... Full-blooded Pueblo Indian from the Jemez Pueblo, Zuni Tribe and Hopi Tribe... Is the middle child of four brothers... Served as an extra in the independent film, Goats, which was featured at the Sundance Film Festival... Enjoys running, traveling, listening to music, learning about my heritage, catching the latest flick, playing video games, reading, going to professional sporting events, and meeting professional runners.
