SOPHOMORE (2021-2022)
- Competed in two races for the Toreros in the Second Varsity Eight and the Freshman/Novice Eight
FRESHMAN (2021)
- Competed in four races for the Toreros in the 1V8+
CLUB
- Rowed with Oakland Strokes from 2016-2020
- Won the 2018 Lightweight Mean’s 8+ gold medal at Nationals
- Earned silver in the Lightweight 8+ at Southwest Regionals in 2018
- Also earned silver in the Men’s third V8+ in 2018
PERSONAL
- Son of Antoine van Dongen and Susan Kim, has four siblings, Clemens, Eliot, Elizabeth and Marloes
- Contributed to his high school’s waste program designed to help streamline school-wide recycling, garbage and compost
- Hobbies include surfing, skateboarding, reading and video games
- Chose USD because, “I loved the team and the spirit of the guys, knowing they’re the underdogs but still putting everything they can into the sport. The potential we have to be great is through the roof.”
