Biography
SOPHOMORE (2021-2022)
- Served as the coxswain in the First Varsity Eight in all seven of San Diego's races
FRESHMAN (2021)
- Competed in four races for the Toreros in the 1V8+
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL
- A four-year varsity letterman in crew and skiing
- Rowed with Rose City Club Rowing (2014-2020) as the varsity coxswain
- Placed second at the Men’s U17 4+ Club Nationals
- One of two men’s coxswains to represent the northwest region at the World Rowing Youth Regional Challenge
- Club rowing career holds multiple top 25 finishes including in the Head of the Charles Men’s Youth 8+ (2018), Brentwood College Regatta U19 4+, Portland Fall Classic Men’s Youth 8+ and the San Diego Fall Classic Men’s Youth 8+
INTERNATIONAL
- Coxed the A 8+ and A 4+ for Team USA during the 2017 U17 Junior National Team
- Trained with the U18 HP camp with Team USA
PERSONAL
- Member of the honor roll and the National Honors Society
- Served his community through Meals on Wheels and his local community warehouse
- Enjoys skiing and working on computers
- Chose USD because, “The computer science program and the newfound support for the rowing team. Coach Hise has a different approach to coaching and recruiting that I had seen before. He really cares about the team, but even more so about the guys on it.”
