• WCC Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll - 2013& 2014
Junior (2012-13): Named to the WCC Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll with a 3.02 GPA... Posted her top 5k time of the fall at the Bronco Invite (19:02)... Ran a 23:52 (71st place) at the WCC Championships... Clocked a 23:24 (189th place) at the NCAA Regional Championships... Also competed in the Fullerton Invitational, UC Riverside Invitational and Triton Classic... Raced in the 1500m, 3k and 5k during the spring track season. Sophomore (2011-12): Ran her best 6k time of the season at the UC Riverside Invitational with a 22:18.4... Finished in 67th place at the WCC Championships with a time of 22:48... Also competed in the Stanford Invite (6k; 23:17) and Bronco Invite (5k; 18:30.2)... Did not compete in the spring track season. High School/Prep: Attended Vista Murrieta High School where she competed in cross country, track, and soccer... Earned three varsity letters in track and four varsity letters overall... Posted a 3200m time of 11:29.00 as a senior and a Mt. SAC time of 18:49... Named Academic All-League in cross country her senior year... As a sophomore, ran a 5:11.32 1600m time... Named All-Southwestern League in track in 2008 and Academic All-League in track in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Personal: Born February 3, 1992 in Wildomar, Calif... Parents are Kevin and Lucie McCarthy... Chose USD because it was a Catholic school with an excellent reputation, she fit well with the team, and she loves the beach and surfing... Was also recruited by Loyola Marymount, Portland, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, and Franciscan University of Stuebenville... Besides running, she is involved in USD University Ministry, and likes to surf, wakeboard, and snowboard... Notes that she likes the color orange. Major: Biology Minor: Theology
