Biography
Junior ([apos]10-[apos]11): Rowed with the 2V8, helping the boat earn a first place finish at WCCs and a second place finish at WIRAs.
Sophomore ([apos]09-[apos]10): Competed with the varsity squad.
Freshman ([apos]08-`09): Competed with both the novice and varsity squads.
High School: Attended Wood River High School (Hailey, ID)... earned four varsity letters in basketball and three in volleyball... was named second-team all-conference in basketball, while also earning her team[apos]s Defensive Award... in volleyball was named first-team all-conference in addition to making the all-star team and winning the Coach[apos]s Award... did not row... was a member of the National Honor Society... won the Marine Distinguished Athlete Award an the Idaho High Schools Distinguished Athlete Award.
Personal: Born July 1st, 1990 in Hailey, ID... daughter of Tom and Karol Ward... chose USD for the beautiful weather and the opportunity to get a quality education... notes that she hunts and loves potatoes.
Major: Communication Studies.
