Sophomore (2011-12): Raced with the novice and varsity squads... In the spring, competed in the WIRA Championships... During the fall, rowed in the Row 4 the Cure, NARF, San Diego Fall Classic and Long Beach Christmas Regatta. Freshman (2010-11): Competed with the second novice 8... Member of the second novice 8 team that took first place at WIRAs and competed in the San Diego Crew Classic. High School: Attended Bishop Manogue Catholic High School... earned four varsity letters apiece in swimming and skiing... did not row... as a freshman was named Rookie of the Year on her swim team... sophomore year placed fifth in the Northern Championships Aqua Pentathlon... was an All-State Academic honoree. Personal: Born February 27, 1992 in Reno, NV... parents are Sabina Ballard and Gilbert Patterson... chose USD for the small class sizes, the small campus, it[apos]s close to the beach and because there[apos]s so much to do close to campus... notes that she is obsessed with pink and has been skiing since she was three years old.
