First year head coach Tim Mickelson and his team will open up the 2003 season at the Falcon Invitational in Colorado Springs on September 19th. The Toreros will be looking to improve on last year's 18th place in the invitational that is hosted by the U.S. Air Force Academy annually.

Mickelson will be counting on a handful of returners to lead the way in 2003-04: senior Michael Shelly (Tumon, Guam), senior Mark Hepler (Lakeside, CA), sophomore Preston Lancaster (Dallas, TX) and sophomore Jeb Stewart (Scottsdale, AZ).

Following the Falcon Invitational the Toreros will play in the Denver Invitational (Sept. 29-30), then play their first local tourney at the Barona Creek Golf Course in Lakeside when they participate in the Barona Invitational (Oct. 20-21).
