(Madera, CA; Riverbend Golf Club) -- The University of San Diego Toreros shot a final round team score of 300 to place 7th at the 2003 West Coast Conference Championships held at the Riverbend Golf Club in Madera, California. USD standout Berry Hensen (T13th at 221, 77-72-72) was even par in both the second and third rounds to place in a tie for 13th on the leader board.
The Toreros finished at 901 (+37 over par) for the three rounds at the 7,072 yard, par 72 course. Pepperdine won the team honors with a score of 858 (-6 under par) - they held off San Francisco (863, -1 under par) and Santa Clara (878, +14 over par) in the eight-team championship tournament.
USD's Tim Cureton shot a second round 72 and finished in a tie for 27th (226; 74-72-80) he was 10 over par for the tournament. Preston Lancaster (T30th at 228; 80-74-74) came in just behind Cureton. Mark Hepler (T33rd at 231; 77-79-75) and David Isaacson (38th at 234; 79-76-79) round out San Diego's individual scores.
