The University of San Diego's first tournament of the spring season produced a 10th place finish at the Fourth Annual Rice Intercollegiate at the BlackHorse Golf Club in Cypress (just northwest of Houston). The Toreros and first year Head Coach Tim Mickelson, saw three players come in at 33rd overall- Jimmy Harris (75-70-87; 232), Jeb Stewart (78-74-80; 232) and Yen Yi Chen (78-77-77; 232). The 54-hole tournament was won by The University of Texas San Antonio. The University of Denver's Barrett Jarosch (71-72-72; 215) was the individual winner.
