The University of San Diego men's golf team shot a final round 305 (17-over par) to post the third lowest team score Tuesday at UC Riverside's Braveheart Classic (PGA of Southern California GC; Beaumont, Calif.). After 54-holes and three rounds on both Monday and Tuesday, the Toreros placed 13th overall as a team. West Coast Conference member St. Mary's (305; 305; 299; 909) edged UC Irvine (298; 309; 306; 913) to win the team title. USD's Brian Phan (80; 79; 74; 233) fired a final round 74 (2-over par) to finish in a tie for 24th. Jimmy Harris (84, 80, 75; 239) was just 3-over par during final round play Tuesday and placed 52nd. The Toreros are next scheduled to play in the Oregon Duck Invitational in Eugene on March 22-23.
West Coast Conference member St. Mary's (305; 305; 299; 909) edged UC Irvine (298; 309; 306; 913) to win the team title.
Boise State's Graham DeLaet (72, 76, 74; 222) shot a winning individual score of 6-over par.
