The holiday season will always be busy and eventful, but to help capture the real meaning of the holiday season 75 USD Student-Athletes & The Junior Seau Foundation teamed with Target-Mission Valley, corporate sponsors and individual donors for the Annual Shop with a Jock.

Two hundred underprivileged children from Boys and Girls Clubs were provided the opportunity to shop for gifts for their families and loved ones. To make this a night these children will never forget, each child shopped with an athlete from the San Diego Chargers, NFL alumni, San Diego Padres, US Olympic Athletes, the University of San Diego or other local colleges.

Following a festive dinner, a visit with Santa, and many fun-filled games and activities, the children were paired with an athlete who accompanied them on a holiday shopping spree throughout the store. The experience provides an opportunity for children to learn about giving during the holiday season and allows the children to experience the true meaning of the season (that it is always better to give than to receive) as they shop with their jock for gifts for their families.
