TULSA, Okla.- The University of San Diego men's tennis team had three wins total on the second day of qualifying play at the ITA/D'Novo All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. Tuesday, two in doubles and one in singles. Senior Dean Jackson is one win away from earning a spot in the tournament's main 64-player singles draw, while the tandem of Jackson and Patrick Pohlmann needs one victory to qualify for the main doubles draw.

Jackson won his only singles match of the day, topping Tennys Sandgren of Tennessee, 7-6 (4), 6-2. Jackson moves on to face Nebraska's Calin Paar in the third and final round of qualifying play on Wednesday. Teammate Nikola Bubnic lost his singles match to Georgia Tech's Juan Spir, 6-4, 7-5.

Jackson and Pohlmann teamed in doubles to win consecutive matches, beating Gonzalo Escobar and Rafael Garcia of Texas Tech, 8-6, and Eliot Potvin and Ryan Smith of Georgia Tech, 9-7. They will meet South Alabama's Romain Bocaert and Lucas Viel for the chance to be one of eight qualifying teams to play in the 32-team main draw.
