TULSA, Okla.- The University of San Diego men's tennis team had Dean Jackson and Patrick Pohlmann advance to the second round of the doubles main draw on Thursday in the ITA/D'Novo All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. Jackson and Pohlmann defeated the nation's 4th-ranked tandem of Jeff Dadamo and Austin Krajicek of Texas A&M, 8-1, and move on to face Virginia's Alex Domijan and Jarmere Jenkins on Friday.
Jackson, meanwhile, dropped his opening round singles match to Guillermo Gomez of Georgia Tech, 6-3, 6-0, marking his first loss of the fall. Jackson then lost to Florida State's Vahid Mirzadeh, 6-1, 6-3, in the consolation round, ending his singles run at the tournament.
Jackson and Pohlmann's second-round doubles match is slated to be played at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.
