Eli Bisnett-Cobb to join Washington Redskins

Eli Bisnett-Cobb has been named an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Washington Redskins of the National Football League beginning in early April. Eli joined the University of San Diego Sports Medicine Department in 2008 after spending two years as an Intern Athletic Trainer with the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL. During his time in Minnesota he assisted the Vikings Medical Staff with the prevention, rehabilitation, and care of the athletes, as well as day to day operations of the sports medicine department for all games, practices, off-season activities and rehabilitation of players.

"Eli has been an excellent addition to the sports medicine staff here at the University of San Diego," said Carolyn Greer, Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and USD's Head Athletic Trainer. "He brought positive energy, excellent skills and enthusiasm to his position. He will be missed by the Athletic Department and the student-athletes who benefitted from his care. He will be a successful contributor to the success of the Washington Redskins."

Prior to his time with the Vikings, Eli spent two years as a Graduate Assistant Athletic trainer at The George Washington University in Washington, DC where he was responsible for the Women's Volleyball team, and Baseball team. Eli completed his undergraduate degree at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY he was also a member of the Men's Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field team. His Primary Sport Assignments at USD were men's soccer and baseball. He also was responsible for cross-country, track, and swimming.
