Toreros Finish Final Day of Crew Classic Strong

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - On the final day of racing at the San Diego Crew Classic, the University of Men's rowing team had one boat in action, and they fared well.

The varsity 8 boat of Torrey Ray, John Bacic, Will Bastien, Taylor Terheggen, Gary Bastien, Stephen Wainwright, Dano Ferons, Mat Albrand was racing the American Specialty Health petite final, as the Toreros posted a fourth place finish, out of six boats, with a time of 6:19.27. The winner of this heat was Oklahoma City, who posted a time of 6:12.70. Second place went to UC San Diego (6:12.85), while third place was the boat from Washington State (6:17.46). Finishing in fifth place behind USD was Bates (6:14.41) and rounding off the heat was Santa Clara, who had a time of 6:22.10.

The Toreros will return to action on April 20, as they travel to Redwood Shores to compete in the Stanford Invite.
