SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Eighteen members of the USD Athletic Department volunteered at Father Joe’s Village in downtown San Diego on Monday. The Men’s Basketball team and coaches helped serve breakfast at the village last week.

The USD employees assisted Father Joe’s staff in preparing and serving lunch for some of San Diego’s homeless. They worked behind the counter and served lunches for those who could not wait in line.

The village houses and feeds over one thousand people daily, providing compassion, respect, empathy, empowerment and dignity to the less fortunate.
