This Week » The Toreros return home to play a pair of conference games against Pacific on Thursday at 7 p.m. PT and BYU on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out » San Diego claimed a close victory at Pepperdine on Thursday, 68-66. Then they played at Santa Clara where they dropped a, 70-64, decision.

Need to Know » Isaiah Pinero (15.8), Isaiah Wright (14.2) and Olin Carter III (11.5) are all averaging over 11 points apiece. They are also the only three Toreros players who have started all 26 games this season.


WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (14-11, 7-7 WCC)

This Week » USD hits the road to take on Pacific at 7 p.m. on Thursday. They will head to BYU on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Last Time Out » The Toreros dominated at home to earn two wins last week against Pepperdine, 79-53, and Santa Clara, 51-40.

Need to Know » Aubrey Ward-El averaged 18.5 points in the two victories this past weekend. She has scored in double-digits in 14 straight games.

BASEBALL | TICKETS

This Week » The Toreros open their season this weekend at Fowler Park, hosting California and Cincinnati. First pitch against Cincinnati on Friday at 6 p.m. They will play Cal on Saturday at 6 p.m. and a second game against Cincinnati on Sunday at noon.

Need to Know » San Diego was picked 2nd in the 2018 WCC Preseason Baseball Coaches Poll and pitcher, Nick Sprengel, was selected to the 2018 preseason Golden Spikes Award Watch List.

SOFTBALL (5-1)

This Week » San Diego hits the road to play in the Littlewood Classic in Tempe, Arizona. They will play Illinois State on Friday at 11:30 a.m. and again on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The Toreros will also take on North Dakota on Saturday at 8 a.m. On Sunday, they will play Texas State at 10:30 a.m. followed by Arizona State at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out » The Toreros dropped their first decision of the season against Campbell on Thursday night but won the next five games in the San Diego Tournament with three wins against Cal State Bakersfield and two against Campbell.

Need to Know » Senior Kailey Hill was named the WCC Player of the Week and freshman Halle Kyler claimed WCC Pitcher of the Week honors.


MEN'S TENNIS (3-1)

This Week » San Diego remains at home to host Arizona State on Saturday at 11 a.m. and Fresno State on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Last Time Out » The Toreros won the deciding match against UC Santa Barbara in dramatic fashion to claim a 4-3 victory.

Need to Know » Joel Gamerov and August Holmgren have won their last five matches as a doubles team.

This Week » The women remain at home this weekend to host Cal Poly at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
