MEN'S BASKETBALL (18-13)

This Week: The Toreros continue postseason play in the CIT against Hartford at 7 p.m. PT.

Need to Know: The first round games are named to honor former college basketball coaches. San Diego is playing in the Riley Wallace Classic.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (17-15)

Last Time Out: The Toreros advanced to the WCC Tournament championship game against Gonzaga to compete for an NCAA Tournament bid but came up just short, 79-71.

Need to Know: USD women's basketball alum, Chris Enger, was inducted into the WCC Hall of Fame during the WCC Tournament weekend.

SOFTBALL (14-13)

This Week: San Diego returns home to host Fairfield on Wednesday at 7 p.m. before they travel to Cal State Bakersfield for a doubleheader on Saturday at 12 and 2 p.m., and a third game on Sunday at noon.

Last Time Out: The Toreros traveled to Tucson to compete in the Wildcat Invitational last weekend. They went 3-2 on the weekend, winning against No. 24/25 USC Upstate and Wisconsin and lost against No. 9 Arizona. They split their games against South Dakota.

Need to Know: Hannah Boos earned WCC Pitcher of the Week honors â€" the third Torero pitcher to claim the award in the first five weeks of the season.

BASEBALL (9-7)

This Week: USD begins the week with a home matchup against cross-town rival, San Diego State. They will then begin a three-game series against Santa Clara at home. They will play on Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out: The Toreros traveled to Houston for a three-game series last weekend. They dropped the first game on Friday, 4-3, in 12 innings. On Saturday, the Toreros lost again, 5-2. However, they took home a win in the final game, 7-4.

Need to Know: Pitcher, Nick Sprengel, grabbed his first victory of the season with the win against Houston.

GOLF

This Week: The Toreros head to Chula Vista to co-host the Lamkin San Diego Classic with San Diego State.

Need to Know: Dalton Hankamer won medalist honors at the Desert Mound Intercollegiate Tournament, hitting four-under par at 212.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING

Last Time Out: A quartet of Toreros went to Annapolis, Maryland, to compete in the CSCAA National Invitational, where they placed 11th.

Need to Know: Alex Hubel broke her own school record in the 100 yard butterfly.

WOMEN'S TRACK

Last Time Out: San Diego traveled to Los Angeles to participate in the OXY Distance Carnival, where 26 Toreros placed in the top 10 in various races.

Need to Know: Nineteen Toreros set new personal bests this past weekend.

MEN'S CREW

This Week: The Toreros continue their regatta in Mission Bay against Gonzaga, LMU, Santa Clara and UCSD on Monday.

Need to Know: The race is competed dual style, meaning the Toreros go head-to-head with their competition.

WOMEN'S TENNIS (4-6)

This Week: The Toreros play host to Colorado State at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Then they travel across town to the San Diego Tennis and Raquet Club where they'll take on Texas State at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Time Out: USD hosted a pair of matches last week, opening Thursday when they defeated Boston University, 5-2. Saint Mary's came into town on Sunday and defeated the Toreros, 4-2.

Need to Know: Gemma Garcia recorded USD's singles point against Saint Mary's.

MEN'S TENNIS (5-4)

This Week: The Spring Invite will begins Thursday at 10 a.m. and will continue through Saturday.

Last Time Out: The Toreros opened conference play against Gonzaga at the Santaluz Club in San Diego on Sunday and earned a 5-2 win.

Need to Know: Gui Osorio and Nico Borter improved to 8-2 in doubles dual match play in the No. 1 position.
