Biography
HAS SWAM USD TEAM TOP-3 TIMES IN 400 IM AND 200 BREASTSTROKE
Sophomore in 2003-04: Continues to swim strongly for the Toreros... Placed 5th against UCSB in the 100 yard Butterfly with a time of (1:06.09)... Clocked in at (2:26.32) in the 200 yard Backstroke to place 4th against Cal State Northridge... Swam the 200 Back against LMU and finished 6th with a time of (1:46.15)... Remains a strong swimmer for the USD relay teams.
Freshman in 2002-03: Swam USD season top-3 times in both the 400 IM (4:54.24) and the 200 Breaststroke (2:36.19)... As a true freshman, Gauthier was part of a victorious 200 Freestyle relay team that knocked off UCLA... Recorded a top-5 finish in the 200 Breaststroke against Fresno State... Helped the 200 Free relay team place 2nd with a time of (1:42.59) vs. Fresno State... Posted a top-5 finish against UCSD in the 200 Breaststroke... Placed 3rd in the 100 yard Backstroke against cross-town rival UCSD... Came in 21st in the 100 Fly and 100 Back at the 2003 PCSC[apos]s.
Prep: Attended Woodbridge High School in the Irvine area... Was named team MVP as a junior... Competed in the Sea View League and also played Water Polo... Decorated Water Polo and swimmer at Woodbridge... Swam for the Irvine Novaquatic club program... Coached by Todd Sousa at Woodbridge.
Personal: Undeclared on a major... Came to USD for the school size, location and swim program... Also recruited by Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine... Born on October, 9 1984 in Fountain Valley, California.
