Carolyn Greer Promoted To Associate AD for Sports Medicine

Carolyn Greer, who is in the midst of her twenty-sixth year as the Head Certified Athletic Trainer for the University of San Diego athletic department, was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine, it was announced by Jo-Ann Nester, Director of Athletics.

The USD Sports Medicine staff is committed to providing the best medical care possible for its student-athletes. Certified Athletic Trainers, Student Athletic Trainers and Team Physicians directed by Paul Murphy, MD, work together to provide injury prevention, immediate care and rehabilitation.

Greer's top two assistants, Suzi Higgins and Paul Signorelli, were both elevated from Assistant Athletic Trainers to Associate Athletic Trainers.

A 1975 graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education, Carolyn went on to earn her Master's in Sports Medicine in 1978. Over the years she has taught classes in Sports Medicine and had numerous articles published in a variety of journals. She and her staff oversee sixteen intercollegiate teams and approximately 400 USD student-athletes on a yearly basis.

Carolyn, and her husband Jeff, reside in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego with their two boys, David and Jason.
