WCC Spring All-Academic

June 2, 2003

The 2003 West Coast Conference Spring All-Academic teams honor some of the league's finest examples of the consummate scholar-athlete. At the completion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each of the participating sponsored sports. To be considered, a student-athlete must earn at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials, and have sophomore athletic and academic standing.

USD had a total of seven student-athletes selected from four of its spring teams - junior Joey Prast, baseball (3.50 GPA in Accounting & Economics); senior Tim Cureton, men's golf (3.50 GPA in Business Administration); junior Mark Hepler, men's golf (3.37 GPA in History); sophomore Lauren Kazarian, women's tennis (3.76 GPA in Accountancy); senior Kimberly Cupini, women's rowing (3.30 GPA in Environmental Studies); senior Kirsten Davis, women's rowing (3.55 GPA in Biology); and senior Kelly Vanek, women's rowing (3.77 GPA in Anthropology).
