Wil Filamor

Position: Associate Athletic Trainer

Wil was hired in the fall of 2003 and his main sport assignments have been with Men's Soccer, Baseball, Men's Golf, Men's Crew and Cross Country. He has also traveled with Men's Basketball and works with all student-athletes on a daily basis. For 2007-2008 he will travel with Women's Volleyball and baseball. Wil is also in charge of ordering, tracking and monitoring all athletic training supplies as well as taking over a majority of the responsibility of the Athletic Training Students from the San Diego State Undergraduate Athletic Training Professional Program.

Along with these responsibilities Wil is an Approved Clinical Instructor (ACI) as part of the San Diego State Undergraduate Athletic Training Professional Program. As an ACI he supervises undergraduate athletic training students and teaches athletic training proficiency classes. Prior to USD Wil was an Intern Athletic Trainer at UCLA, Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Cal State Fullerton, Summer Intern Athletic Trainer for the San Francisco Forty Niners Football Team, and Undergraduate Athletic Training Student at Cal State Fullerton.

Born and raised in San Diego Wil and his wife Lauren a middle school Physical Education teacher live in Mission Valley with their dog "Charger."
