HONORS & AWARDS:

FRESHMAN (2015): Set a personal record in the 8k at the Bronco Invite (26:50.7)... Also competed in the Mark Covert Classic (28:02.98), the Aztec Invite (30:24.17), and the Pepperdine Dual Meet (15:05 in the 4k).

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three varsity letters at West Torrance High School under Coach Jason Druten... Earned fifth place in the Pioneer League his senior season while helping his team win their league and finish sixth in state... Improved his time in the three mile from 16:30 in his sophomore year to 15:41 in his senior year... Ran the 5k in 16:18 in his senior year... Helped his team become CIF Finalists in his sophomore year... Also competed in track for two years.

PERSONAL: Born April 1, 1996 in Torrance Calif. to Amina and Abdu Kelifa... Chose USD because of "the nice people, the beautiful campus, and the academic reputation of the school"... Was also recruited by UC Santa Cruz and Cal Lutheran.
