Biography

USD: Justin Haley will be continuing his running career as he returns for his second season on the USD cross country team this year. Aside from running, his academic goal is to pursue a degree in business.

High School: Prior to the Torero blue, Justin wore the colors of the local high school, Cathedral Catholic High School where he earned numerous athletic honors. In cross country, Justin was named the 'Runner of the Year' for three consecutive years. In addition, he was a state qualifier during both his junior and senior years. Haley was also acknowledged for his accomplishments in track when he was named 'Most Valuable Athlete' during his final two seasons. During his senior year Justin ran a 9:38 for the 3200m, 4:25 for the 1600m, and 2:00 for the 800m. Justin also participated in and earned two letters in tennis.

Personal: Justin, son of Eileen and Kevin Haley, considers La Jolla his hometown, but he was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 12th, 1991. The University of San Francisco and Loyola Marymount were interested in having Justin on their teams, but he decided to stay in San Diego. He says, 'I have lived in San Diego for the past seven years and I couldn[apos]t imagine myself anywhere else. The location is amazing and the business school outstanding'. Justin will be following in the footsteps of his father, who also attended USD.
