Went to the state cross-country championships for three straight years with a best D- 1 team finish of fifth. Was named first-team All Orange County and All Sea View League as a senior... broke 15-minute barrier in three-mile Sea View League Cross Country Finals as a senior.
Personal: Born December 26, 1991 in Orange, California... Parents are Paul and Joni Carruthers... Various other schools recruited Kyle, including UCSD, UCSB and Long Beach State. Chose USD because of its great location and academics... Enjoys competing in all sports.
