USD HIGHLIGHTS
- Fastest 10k in USD history - 30:57.7 (NCAA West Regionals, 11/11/16)
- 2nd Fastest 8k in USD history - 24:57.3 (Bronco Invite, 10/15/16)
- Team MVP (2015-16)
- WCC All-Academic Team Honorable Mention (2015 & 2016)

JUNIOR (2016)
- Set a school record in the 10k with a time of 30.57.7 at the NCAA West Regionals
- Ran the second fastest 8k in school history and set a personal best at the Bronco Invite (24.57.3)
- Was the top Torero finisher at the Paul Short Invite (25.34) and at the WCC Championships (25th place; 25.44.8)
- Finished second amongst Toreros and in 15th place overall at the USD Invite (26.13)
- A WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention selection for the second straight year
SOPHOMORE (2015)
- Ran a personal best time of 25:10.8 at the Bronco Invite, which is the third fastest 8k in school history
- Named Team MVP
- Was the top Torero finisher at the WCC Championships (43rd place; 26:31.4)
- Also competed in the Capital Cross Challenge (25:32.8) and the USD-Pepperdine Dual Meet (16:59, 4k)
- A WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention selection
FRESHMAN (2014)
- Raced in five races in the fall
- Took first place in his first ever collegiate race, the Mark Covert Invite, with a time of 25:56.9
- Ran a season best time of 25:28.9 at the Bronco Invite
- Also raced in the UC Riverside Invite (25:53), the Paul Short Invite (26:21), and the WCC Championships (25:41)
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Lincoln High School in Portland, Ore. where he ran for Coach Suzanne Perry
- Named First Team All-District during his senior year and helped his team finish seventh in state
- Named Second Team All-District during his senior year while his team finished seventh in state
- Ran a half marathon in 1:09:06, a 5k in 15:26, a 3k in 8:53, and the 1500m in 4:14
- Also participated in wrestling for three years, track and field for two years, and swimming for one
- Named Second Team All-District in track and field and finished fourth in districts in wrestling
PERSONAL
- Born September 11, 1995 to Christine Lorenz and Cormac Burke in Portland, OR
- Chose USD for the location and quality of education
- Was also recruited by Western Oregon, Carroll College, and the Portland
- Received and IB diploma in high school
- Is an Oregon Scholar
