Also competed in the Mark Covert Classic (27:34.79), the Aztec Invite (28:56.56), and the Pepperdine Dual Meet (15:05 in the 4k)

HIGH SCHOOL

Attended Del Norte High School where he earned four varsity letters in XC and three in track
Was team captain in his senior year
Suffered a serious injury after the first race of his senior year causing him to miss the entire school year
In his junior year was First Team All-CIF San Diego, First Team All-League, and set school records for the CIF and State Course while helping his team win the Valley League and qualify for state
Was named Second Team All-League after his sophomore year
Improved his time in the 5k by over two minutes
Ran the 2.15 mile in 10:15 his senior season
His top track times were 2:07 in the 800m, 4:39 in the 1600m, and 9:49 in the 3200m
