The Servite cross country team was state champion in his senior year... Chavez ranked 3rd in the state in cross country... Clocks in at running a 4:19 mile.
Personal: Majoring in Business at USD... Born September 22, 1986 in Anaheim, CA... Was also recruited by LMU, Santa Clara, and Saint Mary[apos]s... Also played soccer at Servite and received All-League honors.
