USD: This past season (2012-13) played in six tournaments and finished with a scoring average of 75.33 over eighteen rounds... Tied for 54th at the NCAA Regionals in Tallahassee at 223 (72-72-79)... Tied for 30th at the WCC Championships (227; 77-75-75)... Tied for 33rd at ASU Thunderbird (217; 71-72-74)... Tied for 39th at The Farms Collegiate Invitaitonal... Last season (2011-12) was his first campaign as a Torero... He competed in 10 tournaments with a scoring average of 76.13 (29 rounds)... Turned in two solid rounds at Wyoming Cowboy Classic with scores of 69-68 in first day action... Playing as an individual, tied for 28th at San Diego Intercollegiate (226; 74-75-77)... Tied for 41st at Fresno State Lexus Classic (224; 74-75-75)... Tied for 31st at Wolf Pack Classic (223; 78-73-76).... Fired a final round 73 at Kauai Collegiate Invite and placed 36th overall.
COLLEGE: Attended Villanova his freshman season where he competed on the golf team... Selected to Big East All-Academic.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Saint Viator HS in Illinois with golf team winning state title three straight years (sophomore thru senior seasons)... Junior year won individual state title and was tabbed team MVP... Sophomore year was sectional champion, while he tied for 6th overall his final year.
PERSONAL: Born on October 10, 1991 in Arlington Heights, IL... Parents are Thomas and Kristie Carlson of Inverness, IL... Chose USD for academics and the great weather... Also recruited by Villanova, Illinois, Illinois State and Michigan... Besides playing golf, enjoys hanging out with family and friends... Besides watching golf, also enjoys watching hockey... Notes his favorite team is the Green Bay Packers.
