- Helped USD to first place in the Frosh/Novice 8+ at the San Diego Fall Classic
HIGH SCHOOLÂ
- Attended Culver Military Academy
- Also competed in ice hockey where his team made an appearance in the USA Hockey Tier II Nationals
- Despite being at the lowest ranks possible his junior year, his hard work turned into being promoted to Alpha Battery unit Cadre
- Was an Eagle ScoutÂ

- Son of Christy and Ben Abbott, born in Dallas, Texas
- Says he chose USD for its distinct blend of personalized academic rigor with a supportive and challenging team of like-minded rowers Â
- While in San Diego, he has picked up surfing and gave Jujitsu a shot
