Biography

Freshman in 2004-05: One of San Diego[apos]s top freestyle swimmers... Excelled at the 2004 Speedo Cup, out-swimming over 50 competitors in the 500 yard Freestyle and 90 competitors in both the 100 and 50 Freestyle events... Also finished in the Top-25 at the Speedo Cup in the 200 Backstroke, swam a time of (2:10.63) in the event... Turned in a pair of 5th place finishes in freestyle events against UCLA... Clocked a (2:00.31) in the 200 Freestyle, best among all Torero swimmers, to place 12th in the event at the Big West Shootout... Was also 12th in the 500 Freestyle (5:25.7) at the Big West Shootout... Did not compete at the 2005 WAC Championships due to injury during the second half of the season.

Prep: Attended Sherman E. Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest, California... Four-year varsity award-winner... Named Most Inspirational Swimmer her sophomore year... MVP and team captain as a senior... Led the Burros to four consecutive undefeated Desert Sky League Championship titles... Clocked a (1:01.88) in the 100 Back, (1:57.6) in the 200 Freestyle as a senior... Helped the Burros capture the 2003 CIF Division III Championship... Also member of the Indian Wells Valley club team which set the 400 and 800 Freestyle records and posted top 5 times in the CCS.

Personal: Chose USD because of the law school... Born in Ridgecrest on February 26, 1986... Sister, Cassandra Baur, was a swimmer at CSUB... Earned varsity letters in cross country in high school and was a top shooter on the rifle team.
