Biography
SOPHOMORE (2022)
- Ran in six meets, primarily as an 800m runner, as well as the 4x400m and 1500m
- Set an 800m PR of 2:25.26 at the UCSD Triton Invite
- Finished third in the 800m at the Cal State LA Twilight with a mark of 2:26.26
FRESHMAN (2021)
- Ran in three meets for the Toreros
- Placed 11th overall in the 800m at the Franson Classic and at the UCR Invite
- Finished 17th in the 800m at the WCC Distance Carnival
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
- Was a multi-sport athlete competing in track, soccer, tennis and gymnastics
- Won the 3A District Championship in the 800m (2019)
- Competed at the State Championships in 2019 as a member of the 4x400
- A part of a three-time Greater Spokane League 3A Soccer Championship teams
- Soccer team also made it to the state Sweet Sixteen (2018 and 2019) and the Elite Eight (2017)
- Played club soccer with the Washington East Soccer Club
PERSONAL
- Daughter of Tyler and Kelly Lafferty, has two younger siblings, Lauren and Ryan
- Mom swam for the University of Washington
- Participated in an international service project by building homes in Cusco, Peru
- Ranked in the top 20 percent of her high school graduating class
- Hobbies include surfing, baking and hanging out with friends
- Chose USD because of the location, team atmosphere and amazing opportunity
