Dr. Robert Pastoor, Vice President for Student Affairs, announced Friday (October 18, 2003) that Kevin M. McGarry has left the employment of the University of San Diego and will no longer coach Torero football. Assistant coach Jason DesJarlais was appointed interim head coach for last Saturday's Pioneer Football League game at Valparaiso University.

"The USD football coaching staff and players were informed of this decision Friday," said Dr. Pastoor. "I will expedite the appointment of an interim head coach for the remainder of the season and conduct a national search for a new head coach in the spring."
