USD sophomore Pierrick Ysern (Paris, France) was knocked off in second round action Friday at the 2003 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships being hosted by the University of Michigan (Nov. 6-9). During Friday's second round play Ysern faced the tourney's No. 2 seed, Romain Ambert of Mississippi State and dropped the match 6-4, 6-1. In the preseason ITA rankings Ambert holds a ranking of 11th in the nation.Ysern defeated Florida State's Mat Cloer, ranked 22nd in the ITA Preseason polls on Thursday, by the scores of 6-3, 6-1.
