Santa Barbara, CA - The 39th-ranked University of San Diego Toreros dropped a 4-3 decision at UC Santa Barbara this afternoon to finish their regular-season with a record of 13-9 and will now await word from the NCAA for a possible at-large bid into the 2003 NCAA Men's Tennis Championships. USD was swept in doubles, and then split the six singles matches. Winning in singles for USD were Pierrick Ysern at No. 1, Jason Pongsrikul at No. 2 and Nic Beuque at No. 3.
