McBRIDE & PARKER HONORED BY PFL: USD had two players honored as Pioneer Football League Players of the Week for their performances in the team's 37-31 win over Holy Cross ... junior safety Chase McBride (Solana Beach, Calif.; Santa Fe Christian HS) was named the PFL Defensive Player of the Week and freshman kicker Hutch Parker (Dana Point, Calif.; Santa Margaret's Episcopal) was tabbed the PFL Special Teams Player of the Week ... McBride returned an interception 84 yards for a TD early in the 4th quarter that gave USD a 24-10 lead ... in addition to the interception he added 7 solo tackles, a quarterback sack (-11 yards) and 3 passes defended ... Parker got USD on the board with a 32-yard FG with 1:53 remaining in the first quarter, tying the game at 3-3 ... he also was a perfect 4-for-4 in PAT kicks for a total of 7 points.
