The USD football team, under the direction of 2nd year head coach Jim Harbaugh (a former Charger), will be honored this coming Sunday by the San Diego Chargers in their pre-game ceremonies prior to their 5:30 p.m. kickoff against the Oakland Raiders. Following their end-of-the-season awards banquet at USD on Sunday afternoon, the entire Torero coaching staff and players will board buses and head down to Qualcomm Stadium for the festivities. The Toreros, who finished 11-1 overall, won the program's first-ever Pioneer Football League championship and finished ranked No. 1 in The Sports Network I-AA Mid-Major Poll.
