The university of San Diego women's tennis team finished day of the three-day San Diego State Tennis Tournament II Friday afternoon held on the campus of SDSU. Torero Zoe Taylor finished with two victories for USD defeating New Mexico's Lucy Scott (3-6, 7-5, 6-2), followed by a win over Ali Borowicz of UC Irvine (6-0, 6-1).

Monica Weisener won her first match against Vanessa Heroux of Fresno State (6-4, 6-3) but was defeated in the next round by San Diego State's Eliska Krausova (6-4, 7-5). She will play in the compass draw against Saint Mary's Jessica Hoath.

San Diego continues play Saturday for day two of the tournament from the SDSU campus.
