SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's tennis team was defeated today by Cal Berkeley Saturday afternoon at the USD Tennis Complex by a final score of 7-0.
The Toreros pairs and singles were unable to mount an offensive strike against the Golden Bears. San Diego's Helene Lindstrand and Justine Perl captured three sets against Marian Ravelojaona and Bojana Bobusic of Cal losing 8-3
In singles action, USD's Monica Wiesener took Susie Fodor to a third set, but was defeated 6-3, 6-7, 7-6. Lindstrand lost to Suzie Babos in two sets 6-2, 6-3, while Zoe Taylor was defeated by Stephanie Kusano 6-2, 6-4.
The Toreros fall to 2-1 overall and will take on USC on Thursday, February 1 at 1:30 p.m. at the USD Tennis Complex.
