San Diego, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's tennis team dropped a tough battle against the LSU Tigers by a score of 6-1. Samantha Mouly was the only Torero to seal a win beating LSU's Staten Spencer with a score or 6-3, 6-2. The Toreros were dealt three three-set losses in singles play. USD returns to the USD West Courts this Saturday morning, February 10th, to take on nationally ranked Arizona Wildcats in a 9:30 AM match.
LSU swept the doubles matches to earn the first team point. Mykala Hedberg defeated Helene Lindstrand in a hard fought match with a final score of 4-6, 7-6, and 3-6. Alexandra Demidova also was defeated in a tough match against LSU's Hannah Robinson with a score of 4-6, 6-3, and 2-6.
