(Tulsa, OK) - USD sophomore men's tennis player Dean Jackson participated in the 2008 D'Novo/ITA Men's All-American Championships today on the campus of the University of Tulsa. Jackson, ranked No. 36 in the preseason ITA rankings, earned a main draw invitation to the tourney which is the first national singles and doubles title event of the 2008-09 season. In first round action today Jackson was knocked off in straight sets by No. 39 Reid Carleton of Duke, 6-4, 6-2. In consolation action, No. 44 Dominik Mueller of Baylor got the better of him, 6-1, 6-4. Outside of the NCAA Individual Championships played in May, this is the top collegiate tournament in the nation which features top-ranked players from across the country.
