SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego Toreros are preparing for their last team race this upcoming weekend at Irvine, CA. The meet will be a two day event and will take place at Anteater Stadium at the UC Irvine campus.

On Saturday, April 30, the Toreros will run a group in the 5,000m. The Women will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by the Men at 6:25 p.m.

Sunday races will kick off at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Look for the Toreros to participate in the 800m, 100m hurdles, 1500m, and also the 4 x 400m relays.

Steve Scott, a three-time Olympian, was a six-time All-American in track and cross country at UCI. He has run the mile in under four minutes a record 136 times.

A member of the United States Track & Field Hall of Fame, Steve currently is head track/cross country coach at Cal State San Marcos.
