SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Toreros (3-2, 2-0) improved to 2-0 in PFL play with their 45-13 victory over the previously unbeaten Mercer Bears 4-1 (1-1). In the game, quarterback Mason Mills surpassed Josh Johnson as the school's all-time leader in completions (744). Mills threw for 413 yards and three touchdowns. Each of his top three targets (Reggie Bell, Brandon White, and Sam Hoekstra) hauled in a touchdown pass and had over 100 yards receiving. Additionally, Kenn James had two touchdowns (one rushing and a kickoff return) and was named PFL Special Teams Player of the Week.
