GAME #6:GAME #6: The USD Toreros (4-1; 2-1 PFL), under the direction of second year head coach
Dale Lindsey, continue PFL play on the road with a trip to Indianapolis, Indiana. The Toreros will take on the Butler Bulldogs (3-3; 1-2 PFL) in a 9:00 a.m. (pacific) contest at Butler Bowl this coming Saturday, October 18th.
SERIES RECORD: This will be the 20th meeting between USD and Butler with theToreros owning a 14-5 series advantage... Last season the Toreros earned a 42-14 home victory as QB
Mason Mills completed 26-of-36 passes for 407 yards and 5 touchdowns... In the victory Mills became just the 5th PFL quarterback to surpass the 10,000 passing yards milestone... Prior to last season's contest these two teams last met in 2010, a USD victory (24-0)... USD's first ever PFL win came against Butler back in 1993.

A LOOK AHEAD: Following the Butler game the Toreros return to Walter J. Zable Field at Torero Stadium for an October 25th contest against the Dayton Flyers at 6:00 pm.

HODGES RUSHES WAY INTO TORERO RECORD BOOK: Sophomore running back
Jonah Hodges (Santa Cruz, Calif.) set a new USD single game record for rushing yards with his outstanding 273-yard performance in the team's 31-23 victory over the Stetson Hatters... Hodges amassed his 273 yards on just 17 carries with two going for touchdowns of 53 yards (1st quarter) and 56 yards (4th quarter)... It was the third 200-yard rushing performance by a PFL running back this season and second best in the FCS this season, behind Dayton running back Connor Kacsor's 301-yard performance in Week 2... Hodges' 17th and final carry of the game came late in the 4th quarter with under three minutes to go... He rushed for 2 yards allowing him to surpass Sammy Croom's long-standing mark of 271 yards (vs. Azusa Pacific, 1972)... Since joining the PFL in 1993, USD's previous individual best was 229 yards from Evan Harney (vs. Marist, 2003).
TORERO TIDBITS: USD will put their 3-game winning streak on the line Saturday at Butler... Bell improved his career numbers to 149 receptions (#8 all-time) for 2,292 yards (#5 all-time) and 22 touchdowns (#7 all-time).
SCOUTING THE BUTLER BULLDOGS: Butler dropped to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the PFL with last Saturday's 28-9 loss at Campbell... Starting QB Matt Shiltz completed 4-of-5 passes for 31 yards before suffering an injury in the first quarter (he would not return)... Malcolm Weaver replaced him and finished 14-29 for 166 yards... WR Marque Martin-Hayes led the Bulldogs with 8 receptions for 59 yards, while WR Derek O'Connor hauled in 3 balls for 70 yards... Butler's points came in the 2nd quarter from Jon Treloar (49-yard FG) and RB Rico Watson (4-yard run)... The Bulldog defense was paced by Jojo Ciancio (14 tackles)... Butler's three wins have come against Wittenberg (22-16), Taylor (38-3) and Stetson (49-41)...
